Opening Our Homes, Hands, and Hearts

Let’s Open Our Homes To God’s Word!

“And the ark of the LORD continued in the house of Obededom the Gittite three months: and the LORD blessed Obededom, and all his household. And it was told king David, saying, The LORD hath blessed the house of Obededom, and all that pertaineth unto him, because of the ark of God. So David went and brought up the ark of God from the house of Obededom into the city of David with gladness.”    (2 Sam 6:11-12 KJV)

The Ark was a symbol of God’s Word.It contained the Law.

Most of the data we receive in our homes comes thru the media. We don’t want the BBC’s opinions – we need to hear what the Bible says!

Next,  Let’s Open Our Hands To God’s Servants!

Paul told the Philippians. “My God shall supply all your need according to his riches in glory by Christ Jesus.”  —  Philippians 4:19.  They would be blessed because they had ministered to God’s servant.

And Let’s Open Our Hearts To Israel!

Laban learned that he was in receipt of God’s blessing simply because Jacob (Israel) was a guest in his home. “And Laban said unto him, I pray thee, if I have found favour in thine eyes, tarry: for I have learned by experience that the LORD hath blessed me for thy sake.”  Genesis 30:27

You cannot have the privilege of entertaining Jacob, but God has given us the privilege of supporting the sons of Israel.

God has always blessed those who have opened their hearts to His People Israel.

“Pray for the peace of Jerusalem: they shall prosper that love thee.”    Psalm 122:6.
